I'm in the process of building a 80% glock, and I can't seem to find any glock slides/uppers for under $400 is that just how much they are, or am I looking in the wrong places?

If anyone knows where I can get a glock 17 slide/upper for under $300 please pm me the place...

Yeah ever since 80% frame introduction gen 3 slides are up in price which makes building not a glock gun about $100 more expensive vs glock from store..

Ebay is your best bet with prices around $430 for brand new G17 gen 3 slides.

Another rout is to buy police trade in gun and sell the frame.

Damn, that's crazy lol. Thanks for the advice, I like making things myself since I did my own 80% AR.

Find a LEO trade in and sell the frame.  You can find complete pistol for ~400.  Or buy a ZEV slide setup since you are already going the custom route.

I've been getting Glock slides for $325 on gunbroker. Check the G35 thread for my source, I don't want to spam his name around and be accused of advertising.

80% is exactly why I went aftermarket. Hyve Technologies Slide $275,S3F barrel $140, Dawson sights $80, small parts apex/Glock/Wolff/ZEV  $80. I couldn't justify the full pistol price for half a gun of stock parts. Sure it was more expensive, but I've got custom look/ performance for less than doing all that stuff to a factory slide.

That is what I have done.
You have to wait for a good deal to pop up since most of them are priced too high.
