I have a Mod 23 Gen 2.   Its had about 6000 rounds put through it.   I'm the original owner.    Its having a problem of basically short stroking.   Most of the time it gets the spent brass ejected but doesn't load a new round.   Sometimes the brass isn't ejected.   Not sure what  needs to be done to correct it.  Tried different ammo and mags.  Same problem.   Thinking about just sending it to Glock and they can fix it and also replace anything it might need.   Anything I should look at myself specifically?  TIA.

Have you thought about the recoil spring?  Might be worth checking out

That's exactly my first thought also.   I am gonna order one.  It probably needs replacing regardless if that is the problem or not.   Is there one good place to get parts from or several that you guys use.   Never ordered any parts for a Glock before.   Thanks.

I usually throw Glock parts on orders from Brownells or Midway when they have something else I need on sale.  I would replace the RSA (recoil spring assembly) sounds like it is just worn out due to mileage.  They are super cheap and I usually keep a couple on hand for each of my pistols.

Yup,  I'd start with the recoil spring.  Please don't take offense,  but it's not your grip is it?  If it's a weak grip,  it's not gonna chamber the next round.  Again,  just asking,  no offense intended.

Cheap fix to try: replace your recoil spring assembly and your mag springs.

Good video on how to tell if it's the spring. If the info the guy says is correct, they recommend to change it at about 5k worth of rounds. Mine is way over that, but every gun is different.

These are probably dumb suggestions but is your barrel and chamber clean, slide rails and channels clean and oiled? If you have one round in a magazine and the slide locks back after firing that would rule out weak ammo but not necessarily a weak magazine spring. You could try stretching a mag spring out a bit and see if that helps your cycling issues but as others suggested you might want to consider a replacement recoil spring assembly and mag springs. The RSA's are only $15 and probably due for replacement anyway. Hope that solves your issues.

LMAO.  No offense taken.  Nah its not my grip.  I deadlift over 600lbs so its not that.   I have a strong grip.  No limp wristing for me.  Ha ha.

I'm gonna do the recoil spring first.  I had already tried the mag swap.  I threw one of my  Mod 22 mags in it that I know is good and that didn't fix the problem.  So that crossed that possibility off.    I will let you guys know when I get the new recoil spring in it if that fixes the problem.

You are on the right track-
1)  new RSA
2) mags
3) different ammo
You said you covered #2 and suspect you are using ammo that runs the 22 fine so 3) is covered
While I highly suspect a new RSA is going to fix it if not the. Trouble shooting gets a bit more difficult

Most people have no idea how much deadlifts help your grip strength. By the time a guy's deadlift is around 400 lbs, he can grab your wrist hard enough to leave bruises.

Sounds like you need a new recoil spring. Glock recommends changing them every 5,000 rounds. I change them more often than that because I'm a paranoid son of a bitch. I've known people who went far beyond that maintenance interval without getting failures to feed, but I bet that's your issue. It's a common one.
