| Just Picked up a FDE lipseys G19, really like it but I am a little pissed in the fact that the backstraps are not color matched. Does lipseys coat the backstraps or did i buy a "lipseys Special". |

Are you sure you got a Lipsey's model? There's another distributor whose name escapes me at the moment that's selling black factory models that are fully Cerakoted on both frame and slide; not sure about the back straps. The FDE and Gray models I've seen from Lipseys have the factory colored frames and back straps to match; the only part that's Cerakoted on the "Full" FDE and Gray models is the slide. I looked at quite a few online before ordering my Full Gray model. The part numbers for the Lipsey's Gen 4 Full FDE is PG1950204D and G4 with FDE frame only is PG1950203D. Depending on which variant you bought, one of those numbers should be on the box label. Did you get the a FDE model or the Burnt Bronze model? What is the part number listed on the box? It should be either PG195020#D or PI195020#D depending on two tone, full FDE, 10rd or 15rnd.
The FDE frames are dyed while the burnt bronze frames are coated. The FDE frames come with matching backstraps while the Burnt Bronze ones come with black. UG1950203BB |
