[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Slide lock spring help

I'm replacing all the springs on my gen2 23, and this is the last one. The new slide lock spring is almost twice as long, and I can't get it to fully seat in the frame. Are the gen2 pockets shorter? Do I need to cut the new spring? I also don't want to bend it trying to force it. Additional info: the old spring does not appear broken, so I don't think that it's because of a broken piece left in the frame. Help please

P.S. The old spring was the original, narrow spring.

The spring on the top of your picture is for a "full size" Glock, You need the spring for a "compact" size Glock.
Do not cut it, send it back for the right one.

WOW, seriously? I waited over a month for this spring kit, and they send the wrong slide lock spring! All the other springs matched up, at least. I guess it's a good thing that I don't depend solely on this one, huh? Thank you ProCCW!
