What are you guys using and why?

I was dissapointed in the Glock lilght.  Fit and function (integration to the pistol) were great but the light itself was very spotty and not very bright.

I dont need a flame thrower, and would give up some range or field of view for a compact, smooth integration onto the pistol but cant get too excited about the Glock light.

I was thinking about trying an Inforce APL for Glock. 200lumens and bilateral paddles for on/off.

The Inforce was great on my Glock 19. But I started carrying my 19 for concealment only and stopped using the light. Sold that and now have a TLR-1HL on my 17.

This.  I have 9 or 10 of them.  I've never seen the need for a laser so all of mine are w/o.  YMMV.

Same here.  If you have a G19, it's really the best option, IMO.

It's hard to beat the "bang for your buck" that you get from a TLR-1 though.  Have one of those on my duty G22 and haven't been disappointed in it.

I like my tlr3. Its enough light without it sticking 6 inches away from the front of my handgun.

I got a TLR-3 for my 19 solely because I found a holster I like to fit that combo.

It is serviceable for a carry gun.

All my others wear a Surefire X300.

I like my X300, and my nightstand gun wears one.

However, since the X300 is way too bulky for IWB, my carry gun wears an APL and I like it a lot for ccw. The only downside is that it stick out just a tad past the muzzle on my 19, so the holster is a little less comfortable while sitting. I have just purchased the SureFire XC1, and like it so far. It sits flush with the muzzle of the 19, so the holster for it should be much more comfortable while sitting and getting in/out of vehicles. Ill be ordering a new holster for it so I can start carrying the CX1 ASAP.

TLR-1s on my nightstand gun and that changes back and forth to other guns if I go camping or hiking. Very solidly built, nice bright beam but not overpowering or blinding when being used indoors. Also gives a good flood to the surrounding area. And the battery seems to last a long time. The controls are very easy to reach and operate.

Yep, this. It is a fantastic light. I went from a TLR1, then to a TLR3 on my nightstand gun now the XC1 and it just feels right.

I walk a TLR1-HL with the contour switch on my 17. The contour switch is much more intuitive for me.

I have an Inforce APL and a Streamlight TLR1 and both have been great for me. I like the controls on the APL better ,but it's just preference,  both work.

Glock is so retarded. Somebody in the upper management needs to buy Gaston a few extra hookers to keep him busy and then have their light upgraded to LED. That they have not done that already is a giant FU to their base.

It's worse than everything they haven't done because the technology is there, it's been around for a long time and they won't use it.

I have one with the xenon bulb and have actually thought about mod-ing it and putting and LED bulb in it.

I am more in the Stream light and Inforce price range than the Sure Fire (which is compact and I do have one on a full size HK USP). .

The streamlight APL uses one CR123 battery so its light and I thought it would be good cor CC.

How about holsters for your pistols with lights?

Any particular IWB you all would recommend for the G19?

As you can see, we are a family divided! The bulk of my experience lies with the SureFire X300 Ultra revision A. For concealment purposes, the XC1 takes the cake for the Glock 19. The weapon light sits flush with the slide, whereas the X300U + APL protrude out.  The only downside to the X300U is the constant cleaning of the lens after a day at the range. The Inforce APL does not have that issue. Of the three, the Inforce APL's control are my personal favorite. For what it is worth, they have all served me well and without incident thus far. I would not hesitate to purchase any of the three aforementioned lights again. As a matter of fact, I am purchasing a black APL for another 19 this week!
