| I recently purchased my first Glock, a G34, and am not happy with the trigger. Without replacing the entire thing, I thought I would try to upgrade the connector and do the $.25 trigger job. I'm struggling to settle on a connector with so many choices. What are your experiences with connectors from Ghost, Zev, Taran Tactical, Lone Wolf, etc? |

Change your reset spring the G34 comes with a "-" connector and alone it makes the Glock trigger mushy. To take that mush out change the reset spring to the comp heavy one. You can also change the safety plunger/striker block spring to the lighter one to lighten the take up slightly.
I get these.... link |

The factory "." Glock connector made the best pull for me. Other connectors turned the trigger to mush. Did you try the Ghost edge connector? Did you change out any springs? I'm just trying to figure out which way I need to go with this stuff once I get my GK Tactical trigger |

No I haven't. The only difference that ghost points out from the other 3.5 triggers is the "self cleaning channel" which really seems like a gimmick to me. I bought the edge because the other drop-ins that I have tried didn't change the trigger, they just lightened it some and changed the reset some. The edge actually changes the trigger. It gets rid of most of the mush in the trigger. Quoted:

Good to know. So you left all your springs stock? Quoted:

Yes, I've got a bag full of springs and connectors. The Ghost was no better than the others. Good to know. So you left all your springs stock? Yes. I had one trigger that wouldn't completely reset with aftermarket springs so I put all factory parts back in the gun. The only times I've had a Glock malfunction was while messing with aftermarket parts. I'll take a heavier crisp trigger over a light mushy one. |

Blue Label G34s with night sights come with the 5.5# connector. |

Yes. Some users say that combo gives a lighter pull than the 5.5# connector without the mush of the minus. can be hard to buy/find dot connectors though Quoted:

Will the . connector work in a Gen 3? Yes. Some users say that combo gives a lighter pull than the 5.5# connector without the mush of the minus. can be hard to buy/find dot connectors though In a Gen 3 the "." absolutely does. It's a great way to get a fantastic trigger very inexpensive with all OEM parts. It removes the increasing resistance through the pull compared to the standard connector ... turns the "Wall" into a small hill. It's awesome. For some reason it's only Meh in the Gen4, even a gen4 with the Gen3 trigger bar. |

I too am a fan of the "." connector. Ive tried a few and this seems to be the best IMHO. Its not the lightest but its the crispest break while giving a
short reset. I like the 2 stage trigger with a predictable wall, some others like a single stage or a rolling revolver type break....not me! |

I just put Ghost EVO Elite kits in both of my carry guns.....a G26 and a G36. I used the connector, heavier trigger bar spring, and lighter safety plunger spring, but left the original striker spring in place. Very happy so far.
It took the G26 from a measured 7.5 lbs to 4.5 lbs with no stack near the end and a crisp break. The 36 used to break like a damp stick with a really heavy stack just prior to the release. Now it's lighter and totally smooth, all the way to a crisp snap. Their connector radically changes the original geometry of the ramp that the trigger bar rides on to get rid of the usual stacking and provides a tab to limit overtravel that requires a custom fit to the gun. Both guns took a while of trial and error to get the overtravel tab ground and polished to the correct dimension, but the time was well spent. Both have zero overtravel. It feels so good... cue the George Takei "Oh My!" |

I did the Ghost evo and definitely a huge difference. The pull is now like a smooth DA trigger with no wall, pull pull bang. Reset is short as or shorter than stock trigger then break. Loud and tactile. Kind of like an improved Kahr trigger with actual short reset. Noticed not shooting low and left as much. Downside is that the evo has to be hand fitted
Probably a spring swap will be your easiest and cheapest option. When shooting live you don't really notice the mushy stock trigger break but you notice the heavy staging right before the break. |

I have a Lone Wolf 3.5 connector in my G41 Gen 4 along with a $0.25 trigger job. It is still a bit mushy but there is no hardening befor the wall and the reset is short and very crisp. Much smoother and the pull is 4.5 lbs.
That being said, none of these aftermarket parts should ever be thought of as an "upgrade." All in some way compromise the inherent reliability of a Glock and should be carefully considered before installing. |
