Recently moved to a G35 as my competition gun. I'm looking for recommendations on a mag well. I'm not worried about size constraints or fitting in the box. Which one do you guys like? Does the weighted brass one make a difference or is that a gimmick? I'm leaning towards the Dawson, but ALG, TTI and Zev seem to have nice offerings as well. |

For a full size magwell I really like the Dawson. The replaceable insert is a nice feature and keeps you from beating the hell out of the aluminum. I've owned a Gen3 and Gen4 version and had no complaints. I'll probably be buying another Gen3 as I decided to turn one of my pistols into a project gun. |

Does the mag well get real beat up? I've been shooting a USP with jet funnel for a year and a half and its fine. Any experience with the brass one? |
I have the brass TTI on my G35. The added weight balances it out quite nicely. I had a Zev before and I would pick the TTI over it hands down. They are about the same size but the funnel of the TTI is way bigger.
ETA: I had a Dawson Ice on my 2011 before I sold it. It's a great magwell. But I fell that the extra weight is more important for the Glock platform rather the having replaceable inserts. |

I have the ZEV, which I like a lot, but the TTI looks like the best as far as magwell size and flare goes. Might try that one next. |
