Bought a Glock 19.  I bought my first Glock (27) in 1996 when I got out of the Army and moved back home.  I've had a few .40's in each size over the years, a couple in .45 and a 10mm but I never purchased a 9mm Glock.  I snagged a 43 just as soon as I could get my hands on one and have been kicking around the idea of a 19 for a few months now.  I finally decided to order one and after expecting to wait a couple of weeks I actually got lucky and my dealer had a shipment show up a few hours after I put in the order and it showed up today.

I've run more of the Glock night sights than anything else over the years but I haven't decided which sights I'll go with on the 19.  I installed a set of Ameriglo sights on my 43 and I've been pretty pleased with them so I'll probably go that route.  I ordered a Surefire xc-1 this morning and will probably be putting an Agency Arms magwell on it.  Once my holster builder has a mold ready to go I'll have him make me an OWB for daily carry and possibly an IWB later down the road.

Ameriglo sights

Mainly posting because I'm bored.  Had surgery Tuesday and don't have anything else to do lol.

Glock 43 and Glock 19. IMHO, the best two-pistol combo anyone can own.

Well done!

If only the G43 was bigger I would be able to hold it..... I have a PPS only because the bigger back strap fills my hand where I can grip it.  Sold my LC9 because it was even worse I could not hold it because of the size of my hands..... 34/19 for me.

Final major piece of the puzzle came in today, Agency Arms magwell rounded out my intended configuration aside from smooth trigger and extended mag release and slide stop which I'm picking up later this week.  Just have to wait on a holster now, hopefully it won't be much longer.

Looks great.

Does that Maxwell work well with factory G19 mags / baseplates? I know some of them require extended baseplates or mags to seat fully.

Works perfectly.  The Agency magwell adds very little length so the standard base plates work fine.

That is drop dead sexy.

My divorce was final this weekend.   I'm sorely tempted to celebrate by buying a new glock.  But its hard to do when I've got huge legal fees still sitting on the credit card.

Lookin good.

The smooth trigger, I totally get.  I was thinking I'd put one in my G26.  But at this point I just want to leave it stock.  For some reason the things that bothered me about my G19 aren't bothering me with the G26.  I'm not really sure why that is.

But I don't get the extended slide release or the magwell.   Don't you just grab your slide?  It's one of the great things about a Glock.  Nothing to be annoyed with when doing it.  And why do you feel you need a magwell on a double stack polymer gun?  I ask these things out of genuine curiosity.

Either way, congrats, it's a great looking gun.  Can I ask how much you paid for it?  My LGS has Gen IV's for 589 and it seems ridiculous.

I don't use the slide stop to drop the slide, the extended slide stop makes it possible for me to lock the slide open without shifting my grip on the gun.  I can't touch the standard slide stop with my strong hand thumb while in my shooting grip.

This particular magwell offers a couple of advantages for me.  In addition to the slightly larger opening for reloads it provides a small but noticeable "ledge" for my pinky finger which I can push against to maintain positive upward pressure between the web of my hand and the beavertail of the frame.  It also serves to protect the polymer on the base of the frame from getting beat up during reloads.

Dude, if you get a Glock that looks like that, you're ex-wife will want to get back together with you. And so will all her girlfriends.

What benefit does the magwell give? Not trolling would like to know.

Neverind you addressed it already.

Well I thought I was done but the factory smooth trigger w/trigger bar had a slight hang up with the trigger safety.  For whatever reason it had a 1/3 second delay in popping back into the safe position when the trigger reset.  I have fired a few Glocks with the flat triggers and decided that would be a good excuse to buy one so I ordered a Glock Kraft shoe and installed it this afternoon.  There's a definite reduction in pre travel but otherwise it feels no different than the stock setup, no surprise since it's on the stock trigger bar.

I think I now see the purpose of them.  I asked before because they're priced like they're dipped in gold and nobody could give me a good reason to have one.  But I see it might help you unstick the mag if it's stuck, with a magwell.   Or I guess even without a magwell might be good insurance?

I got a 5 pack for $18.50 off of Amazon, I didn't think that was unreasonable.

WHAT?  I guess I must've read that wrong when I saw them somewhere.  I thought it was that much for just one of them.  LOL.  Now it makes a whole lot more sense......
