I haven't had a chance to shoot it yet, I just bought it yesterday. I have had a lot of GLOCK's probably 4 other G17's beside this one, I just sold a G17 I bought 6 months ago new to help pay for this one. I have to say I am impressed with what you get for the money, mine was 599.00 plus tax and call in 645.00 OTD
The only part I didn't really care for is the tango down Vickers slide release. None of the Vickers parts are installed when I bought it, I had to install them. I installed the Vickers slide release and magazine release and ended up installing a GLOCK factory extended slide release instead. I really like the factory extended slide release that GLOCK makes. I am really digging the RTF Gen 3 frame and the slide has the no longer available rough finish on it, my G17 I just sold that was made 5/2015 had the newer finish on the slide that tends to show wear rather quickly. The rear sight is the Wilson Combat/Vickers sight, the front is a green fiber optic that I may swap out and replace with a tritium night sight probably a Trijicon HD with the orange circle around the tritium dot. I will report back when I get a chance to shoot it and let y'all know how it shoots, all of the G17's I have owned shoot pretty good with my 124 grain reloads. 115G factory ammo shoots ok but they seem to prefer the 124 grain stuff. Next I will have to get the matching G19:) |
