Shot my Glock 30 yesterday, about a hundered rounds of Wolf ammo. Had a couple of FTFs, seemed it ejected the previous round but hung up when it tried to chamber the next. Never really had any problems before. I was just wandering if someone else may have experienced this.

First make sure it is not you. (i.e. limp wristing) Keep a firm grip on it when shooting.
Try different ammo, and try a diferent magazine.

If you continue to have problems with your G30 with FTF, call Glock and get your mags exchanged for new ones. There have been some changes to the G30 mags and followers which should take care of it. Good luck and let us know how things work out.

"I was just wandering if someone else may have experienced this"Probably alot of people, thats why Wolf ammo is so cheap.
Why do people do this? Its like owning a ferrari, putting diesel in it, and then scrathing your head when the engine stops.

Wolf is the only factory ammo guaranteed not to be reliable, in any gun but your AK.

Try UMC by remington, or American Eagle by Federal.

agreed...there are lots of places to get cheap ammo that is much better than wolf and won't tear up your firearm.  JMHO

you can get UMCwww.remington.com/ammo/umc/umc_pistol.htm from a store chain called Dicks sporting goodswww.dickssportinggoods.com/corp/index.jsp?page=storeLocator&clickid=topnav_locator_txt located in the north east @ $60 for a case of 500.

Natchez also has Blazer/CCI for 4.69/box50 if you buy a case.  If you live in a southern state that has an Academy Sports they have Blazer/CCI for 3.86/box50

3.86 is cheap!!!!, Blazer is more accurate than umc or AE also. Blazer is a little dirty though. But if you're cleaning your Glock each time you shoot it doesn't relly matter. I like Blazer.

Wow, really..... Bull Shit! I just went to Natchez and they had .45s for $6.99 if you bought a case, $7.99 if you bought single boxes.  This is the first time I went with Wolf ammo and was just wandering if someone else had FTF problems with Wolf .45s.

oops...didn't mean to get everyone excited.  I misread your post...I was refering to the price of 9mm ammo.  You can still get CCI/Blazer .45 for 6.99/perbox 50 if you buy a case.  That is still a good deal.  Wolf at natchez is 7.20 perbox50

That's still a good deal, yeah but I've always had problems with their .22 ammo. I know Wolf is cheap ammo. I've heard its dirty but ran OK so thought I would give it a try.

Although I dont shoot Wolf, in my handguns anyway, it still should feed in your G30.

If you continue to have problems with your G30 with FTF, call Glock and get your mags exchanged for new ones. There have been some changes to the G30 mags and followers which should take care of it.

Check the number n the top of your follower where it engages the slide stop and call Glock!

Last time I was at the range I had several failure to feed's from my Glock 22 while shooting Wolf. I borrowed a mag from the counter and it fed without any problem. I took my mags apart and stretched the springs a little - put another 100 rounds through it  and no more feeding problems. My range mags are a little old and just needed a little servicing. I have put over 2K of wolf through my 22 and this was the only problem I have had with their ammo.

Where do some of you people come up with this BS. If Wolf will function in your gun, then there is nothing wrong with using it. I guess if you don't shoot that much a year, or can afford to spend the extra money for ammo that's great. That said, there is nothing wrong with Wolf ammo.

I've put well over 10K of Wolf ammo through my G22. I can only recall 1 problem due to Wolf ammo. I've had more malfunctions using WWB in my G22. Wolf ammo maybe dirty and a bit smelly, but it works just fine, and it does no harm to your pistols, or rifles.

Back to the original question. Did this malfunction happen with all your mags, or the same one? It sounds like a mag problem to me though.

I've never had any problems with wolf 9mm.

From my personal experience, they shoot out as well as any other bullet.
Now, i am using S & B 9mm, b/c i got a good deal on it.
WWB or SB or wolf, i really couldn't feel the difference when i shoot.

I only used one mag. Next trip I'll take both and see. Hows Glocks customer service?

Their customer service is excellent.  WalterGA has posted several times about sending your mags back with a note saying they aren't feeding reliably and they will replace the springs and followers for free!

FWIW

I've shot several cases of PMC through my g26 with zero malfunctions of any kind.

I am now working my way through my first case of Wolf in it.

I've had 2 problems in the first 300 rds... 1 FTE and 1 FTL.

The FTE case looked normal on inspection, the FTL is pictured below.

The scratch is raised enough that the round will not chamber.

It seems to be in line with the slight wear mark from the feedlips.

I guess it's possible it happened while being loaded into the mag... just never encountered it before in glock mags w/brass....

Especially considering the round was mid-way in a 33rd mag (read very low spring pressure while loading)... had it been near the top of the mag (last few rounds in) I could see where there may have been extra pressure and a scratch risk.

All this aside... performance wise, Wolf has been fine at the range... better than I expected to be honest.... though I still feel a bit guilty for shooting it....

but I'll get over it.

I have 500 rounds of wolf through my G26 with zero malfunctions.  My buddy has a similar number through his G19 with zero malfunctions.  Combined we're gonna shoot 5000 rounds of it this weekend in a series of tactical shooting seminars.  I expect zero malfunctions.

That's a savings of $163 over Winchester value packs from wal mart.  In my opinion the wolf shoots at least on par if not better.  So, essentially, our motel room is free courtesy of Wolf Ammunition.
