Just received three 4.5lb Ranger connector and spring kits from Ghost and was noticing some issues after I installed the first kit. With just the connector in, I noticed that it was considerably more difficult to hand cycle. With the connector and springs I was having major issues. For example, when I would dry fire, hand cycle the slide, and then completely remove my finger from the trigger to let it reset on its own, it was taking a full two seconds minimum for the trigger to return to its forward position. Is this a common issue? I tried two of the three connectors and had the same issue both times.

Thanks in advance

Detail strip and try again. I've put in 7 Ghost connectors and never had a problem like you describe.

Check their website or call them.  The bend angle of the connector can cause the slide to drag or a weak trigger reset.  Their website has instructions to measure the angle.

it is when you mess with spring rates.

I had the same issue with the last 2 kits I installed (also had a customer come in with the same deal). It's a simple fix, that shouldn't matter, but it does. Hold upward tension on the trigger spring when reinserting the trigger bar back into the ejector housing. When you have the frame completely assembled pull the trigger slightly forward while watching the rear of the trigger bar. You should see & feel a smooth ramping motion upward. If you feel a catch, and it then pops up, take it back apart and try again. The increased difficulty in racking the slide will lessen with use, at least this has been my recent experience. Hope my shitty explanation helps.
