Can someone explain the different "generations" of Glocks to me? I'm a diehard 1911 guy who just purchased a Glock 17. I'm told it is 1st generation. The price was a steal for an unfired pistol, and I really like it. So what are the differnet generations of Glocks, and what does it mean???? I also see Glocks in OD green, but I cannot find them on the Glock website. Which models come in OD green? I need an owners manual for my Glock 17, I can call Glock on Monday, but is there any place I can download the manual? |

And there are some other, more subtle differences (e.g. extractor that doubles as a loaded chamber indicator, slide finish, and there are prolly some others). I'm not sure exactly how those differences correlate to Gen 1,2,2.5,3. Anyone know when the slide finishes changed? I know there are at least two variants (I have two) and I've read about a third. |
