Factory vs aftermarket? I received some cool back plates for my birthday from a buddy but noticed the factory ones had a notch to keep the firing pin spring retainer from rotating and the after markets do not? What say the masses? Should I stay factory? I want the gun to run not worried about looking cool? Thoughts?

Looks like I might have to ask Glock on this one... To GD

Its impossible for this to rotate regardless of the plate even being on. The sear tail of the firing pin in the groove of the slide makes this so. Use it and enjoy it.

I am all for doing whatever you want to your pistol but does your OP kind of contradict itself.  By adding a custom backplate you are changing the looks of the pistol so you are worried about it looking cool.....

In all seriousness the backplate will work just fine 80% of my friends change theirs to some custom design and never have an issue.  Which plate did you decide on?
