UPDATE: Received a call from Glock. The tech was wondering why the slides didn't have any components, that it is not normally the case for them to rebuild the slide. I managed to talk my way through having them built back up.
Got the slides back in perfect form. They sent them back in a case. (I sent in only the slides). The Ameriglo sights aren’t the fatty fronts like it seems in photos but they do in fact stand out quite nice.

Probably because he asked for the channel liner to be replaced. Did you remove it?
I've noticed a few people putting in the notes to replace slide parts, probably not a great idea. |

I’ve always said “I’ll get around to putting on night sights one of these days.” but still haven’t gotten around to it....although I just stumbled upon this thread and have a couple questions. Are they steel sights or is the tritium housed in a polymer sight?
$57 sounds like a pretty dang good deal and I’m very interested if they are a steel set of sights. I’ve been looking at others but from what I can tell people are very satisfied with their upgraded Glock OEM services night sights from what I can tell. |

Probably not adding much new info to the thread, but just an update on current practice and turnaround time as of March 2019 - sent in a stripped slide with warranty work form requesting installation of night sights and CC number by USPS, arrived to Glock last Monday afternoon, credit card charged for $67+tax(no call or email) and return tracking number sent by email on Wednesday. Back in hand by Saturday, all new upper parts installed, no additional charge or questions asked. I don't remember if it was mentioned before, Glock will return it by FedEx with an adult signature required, so plan for that in advance of its arrival date. |

I don’t know how much help this will be to the thread, but my Glock 17 came from the factory with their night sights, and I like them just as much as the $100 Trijicons I installed on my g21.
For $57 I would call them a steal, even if I had to install them myself, much less that price including the labor. |
| At Glock it cost $63. It used to be $57 then the state decided Glock has to charge sales tax. Glock is quick on this. Glock will also do the FBI sights at about $100 and steel factory sights for $20 |

| Just a heads up, Glock uses a generous amount of red loctite on their steel front sight. Not sure about night sights, but i'd assume it's the same. Not sure if that has been covered here before, but i thought i'd let everybody know if/when you change them out. |

| Late to the party but I took my fourth gen g26 to be thier factory sites. Took them 30 minutes. I think it was around 80 bucks. And then you can Immediately troll down to adventure world to buy ammo for days and that 2k ddm4 wince you’re already down theref 😂😂😂f |
| Thought I should post. I sent my slide in stripped for ns. They called and asked if I wanted internal parts for 55 and I told them I did. So they charged my card 129 it looks like. Still a good deal to me at least. I have a spare set of older parts with probably 4k rounds on them. |

Bummer. I was thinking about picking up a 19 with fixed sights but if they're charging $107 for AmeriGlo than I'd be better off buying the gun with them installed already.
Are the AmeriGlo POA/POI or is there an offset? |

Waiting to see if the internals are still being installed "free"; will update if I get word. |

Glock called and advised there would be a cost to provide & install the slide internals. Seems like the "free" parts are no longer free :(
Had the new parts installed at a cost along with the factory night sights. Everything turned out very nice. The sights are perfectly centered and needed NO adjustment when I got around to test fire. Happy with the process. |

| I sent another slide in to have night sights installed, but didn't strip it after reading recent posts in this thread. When Glock called for my CC info, I asked about them no longer installing parts for free. I was told that they caught onto people taking advantage of it and have stopped doing it. Apparently, someone repeatedly sent in the same four stripped slides for the $20 steel sights in a very compressed time frame, which made it pretty obvious what they were doing. |
