I have always wanted to have a handgun mount on my computer desk.  Some way of having it attached, out of veiw, but capable of ready use. My desk has a drawer and a cabinet in it, but those were too obvious for a burglar.

My desk also has a adjustable document holder, with lots of space behind it.

The document holder will actually fold all the way forward and the back side looked plenty big for a handgun. I took a $7 fobus paddle holster and drilled the rivets out that hold the holster body to the paddle portion.  I threw away the paddle portion and used four 1/2" wood screws to fasten the holder to the back side of the document holder.

As you can see, hopefully, any 9mm or 40SW glock handgun will fit in the holster and can be acessed by simply folding the top of the document holder down.

Really inventive idea there.
I know fobus makes a home/vehicle mount for their roto holster.
Carry my 27 in one in my Cherokee.

I looked at the mount for the roto holster and was turned off by the cost.  This was my Po mans solution after i found the OD Glock19/23 Fobus on closeout for $7.00

Only concern would be how tight that durn Fobus holds the piece.  You might end up pulling it off the board in short order...   You might consider a bit of prep with a hot air gun to loosen the hold on the trigger guard.

Great idea though!   I think I see a use for a spare Uncle Mikes paddle holster, they have an adjustable retention screw.

AR15fan- Very cool and effective idea.  I love it when people think outside of the Tupperware container!
