I just sold my G20SF so I could buy a G40. I paid/ Ordered it at my local Public Safety/ LE/ Military Distributor in Athens Ga. They said one other guy and myself are the only 2 who has made a down payment on one. They have a huge wait list so they say. The lady at the store also told me that Glock told her G40s would not be shipped until late July or first of August.
I am just wondering how many of them are out in circulation as of 9-8-2015? I haven't seen many photos or YouTube videos of guys shooting them. Beside the shot show coverage and YouTube Personalities that received them for T&E. If you have a G40 please share the date you received it, Pics and your range reports. |

I picked up mine last week. I have been on a few different wait lists. A FFL friend called to say the distributor had 3 allocated but they would send one to him if I wanted it. I did and got it the next day.
It has a test fire date of 08-13-2015. I posted some pics of it in the pic thread.

Was finally able to get my G40 out to the range.
Put around 100 rounds thru it of PPU and SIG 10mm ammo, plus tried some 40 cal ammo. I have this G40 set-up with Trijicon suppressor sights and a Trijicon 06 RMR. The gun doesn't care what ammo it is fed, it functions on everything. The full power SIG 180 FMJs felt just a tad warmer than the weak PPU ammo. Recoil with the 40 cal was non existent and the brass barely cleared the gun. The RMR was quick to dial in and is going to spoil me with long distance shooting. At 10 yards my groups were not anything special. I was able to shoot off a bench at 50 yards and kept everything inside a 6 inch target, which is good for me and my eyes. Wasn't able to do much more since its hunting season here and the range I use was getting crowded. |

I've seen it done out of a S&W 1076, but not sure if I'd make a habit out of it. |
