| For those that have shot the G43. Is it's trigger pull consistant with most of the product line or is it a few pounds heavier like the Glock 42? |
|
Mine was 8-8.25lbs on my crappy WHEELER trigger scale. It felt much like the G42--maybe 0.5-1.0 lb lighter than the G42.
However, the G42's GHOST CONNECTOR drops it to 6-6.25lbs, and a reduced power safety plunger spring brings that down another .5lbs. All told, with polishing, I'm pulling 5.25-5.5lbs now, and it feels great. |

Why such a heavy trigger? Can't imagine my gen3 and gen 4 G23's are this heavy. its seems like they simply downsized the connector to fit with no concern for the end result. So when get the G42 advertised as 5.5# but really closer to 9# I sent my back and they replaced several parts and now its about 9# instead of at least nine pounds. in other words slightly better but still heavier than a Glock with the 8# connector and way heavier than the 5.5# connector. |

Due to the small size of the G42, Glock may have figured its intended mission would be as a deep conceal piece for many, and likely the first Glock and/or pistol for many others, makes me wonder if the heavier trigger was by design.
That may have just carried over to the G43. |

Stiffer break like the 42 but a VERY short reset. Hopefully someone will offer a lighter aftermarket connector. The Ghost g42 connector will fit it I'm told. Dave N Yep, looks like they're listed on their site now. Anyone tried the Ghost in a G42? |

Pocket carry is a no no even though many of us do it. Dave N |

Does the G42 trigger fit the G43? If the pull is that much more than all of the other Glocks, I would rather have the smooth faced trigger. Quoted:

Yes. And same slide-release. And same rear-plug. Does the G42 trigger fit the G43? If the pull is that much more than all of the other Glocks, I would rather have the smooth faced trigger. I was thinking the same thing, but a quick look through images shows they have different part numbers. |

With the G43 being made both in the US and in Austria, I imagine a smooth face trigger bar should become available once parts become more readily available.
I also noticed the trigger break is quite heavy. I measured it on a Lyman digital and it averages about 8.5 pounds. I was looking at the design, and they changed the way the trigger bar rides on the trigger housing. It looks like they added the drop safety to both sides. When I was checking the gun out in the shop, I noticed how hard it is to push the trigger bar forward with the slide off. It is because of that double shelf thing. On any other Glock, I can reset the trigger with the slide off, with an effortless push forward on the "birds head" of the trigger bar. I had a G42, which I only sold because I needed the cash, but I can't remember if it was the same with the double shelf. My G42 did not seem to have as heavy a trigger as the G43. |
| I haven't put any rounds through mine yet but on the trigger scale it is heavier than my SIG 938 (8.4 avg. on the glock compared to the 6.75 on the SIG) which I sold to buy the glock and I am having the magazine insertion hang ups.... hopefully things will smooth out when I put some ammo through it but so far I am having some regrets.. |

Be sure to check the bend angle. I had to bend mine in a significant amount. Quoted:

I've got the Ghost EDGE connector in mine and it is right at 4#. It feels good Sweet, I ordered one yesterday. Be sure to check the bend angle. I had to bend mine in a significant amount. You are not supposed to bend the connectors. When you insert the housing into the frame, it holds it down anyway, and many people have run into problems by bending the connector. It screws up the tension. |

See about half way down http://www.ghostinc.com/category/40_istallationinstructions/ Having the connector bent too far outward will cause a louder reset click and an increase in pull weight because the trigger bar is pinned against the frame |

It looks like they had to create a special instruction step because idiots were bending them on their own. They were probably sending them back as defective because they were screwing up the acceptable bend they normally come with. |

Fuck. I read on another forum that the Edge SD was a drop in connector. I hate fucking around with fire control parts, bending, sanding grinding, etc. The Ghost Edge G42/43 connector is drop-in. But not the edge SD? |
