Looking at getting a G29 in the near future.

Any reason to change out the factory recoil spring/guide rod to one with a higher weight?

Will also look into getting an aftermarket barrel for it as well.

you would have to be using some really really stout stuff.  i never had an issue with double tap or buffalo bore.

Mine eats anything. Stock.
They are nice little death rays.

I love mine, but I'm considering selling it at some point.
Broke my wrist last year and it's still pretty tender with hot loads and mag revolvers

I'll give it a bit longer and see if it gets any better. or just practice more weak-hand...

Are y'all shooting ammo that may be above standard SAAMI pressures through the stock barrel?

Buffalo Bore and Underwood ammo are generally considered "Nuclear" ammo, so yes.

I have a lone wolf barrel in mine that I put in when shooting some of my hotter reloads. It has a stock spring through, never had any issues with it.

Some people mess with the RSA on the 10mm most times because they make custom loads.

I have a 29 Sf. Eats anything. The only thing I changed was the trigger (I got a smooth one). It came with night sights. Otherwise all my carry guns get ns

Probably this. I have had 2 surgeries for Carpal Tunnel on each hand.  Hard for me too shoot anything much more than 9mm, 38 and 22 anymore.
