Look for excessive wear on the slide (pic) on the 40s. The stippling is subjective, if you like it great. A bigger concern for me would be the undercut of the trigger guard. With that said, I'd take the glock over the kahr all day long. http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d200/goldeyeslayer/g23%20003_zpserqc49h6.jpg I've been interested in a Glock for the better trigger, etc. I missed the undercut on the trigger guard until you pointed it out. I'm sure that in my hand it would have been very obvious. Thanks for all the replies. I'm going to pass on this one. |

Thanks for all the replies. I'm going to pass on this one. Good call........I am not a fan of the stippling and I would be concerned about the undercut trigger guard as well. I have shot both the G26 and the G27 and found I was more accurate with the 26....... |

Quoted: Don't know about that 27, but a stock 27 is just about the best sub-compact there is. I'll take a 27 over a 26 every day of the week and twice on Sunday. If your fundamentals are solid, what recoil. About the only other advantage might be ammo availability during a scare I suppose. |

Ammo availability during a scare is the advantage which is mostly why i bought the 27. That said, I am trying to trade my Glock 27 for a 26 right now just to be able to use my glock 19 mags and same ammo. The 27 is a great little gun though I have no complaints and like it alot. Accurate and really not much recoil but I am no competition shooter
If you run across a stock 27 snatch it up but I would pass on this one as well. |

Unless you are worried about intermediate barriers there is nothing to be gained by going to the 27 and well placed follow up shots will always be a little quicker/easier with the 26 using good factory self defense rounds, regardless of your fundamentals. About the only other advantage might be ammo availability during a scare I suppose. Quoted:

Quoted: Too each their own, just because it's repeated daily don't make it...not sure what your point is but in this case both my points are true - there is no denying the testing or the physics. I don't care how wonderful a shooter you are and how great your form is or whatever, you still have the same skills with both guns and unless you play games with the loads of the 2 you will do a bit better with the 26 - everyone will, the only variable will be the degree of difference. As for the 9 vs 40 people who know one hell of a lot more about it than you and me have spoken. I'm with 06KR on this - the G27 is one of the best subs out there and one of the pistols I'll never get rid of. I always have trouble figuring out why some people think the recoil is excessive while others don't think so at all. When I shoot it I never think "wow, that's snappy" or anything of the sort - in fact just the opposite, it's a sweet-shooting pistol all the way around. Several of my friends wives carry them too and shoot them just fine. To the OP, I would pass on that one just because it's been messed with and who knows what they did to it. That undercut trigger guard would bother me too. |
