I have a Glock 20 that has failures to feed from time to time. Its a gen3 SF and it has the mags that came with the gun. It seems that the FTF's come from the mags but its really annoying to think I have two bad mags. When the malfunction happens the round will fail to present its rim for the slide to grab it. So what happens is that the slide ends up lodging on the case about half way up its length. I have taken apart the mags to make sure the mag springs were seated on the floor plates correctly and it turns out one was not. I thought the problem was solved until a few hundred rounds later when it started cropping up again. It tends to happen as the mags are getting close to empty.
Is this a common mag issue with the Glock 20? Where can I find a solution to this either with better springs followers or latest gen mags? |

Are you shooting heavy loads? Sometimes this can happen if your slide velocity is too high. The mag springs cant catch up. Try switching over to wolff extra power springs. I didn't think of that. Now that you mention it the loads it happens most with are hot loads. |
| I would agree with others here and try a heavier spring. I have a G20sf with a Storm Lake barrel and 22lb spring that has over 6k round through it. While my reload are not 'hot', they are not mild either. I have not had any issues that were not directly related to ME! The hand gun runs well all of the time. My issues were when I was shooting from a barricade and did not have enough room for the brass to clear the ejection port. |

What weight would you recommend? I would like to get a captured spring instead of a separate spring and guide rod set up. Who would you recommend getting one like this from? Quoted:
