Hello, kind of new to the glock game ,and was wondering if any one heard of the od glock being more prone to cracks or splitting than black or fde. I'm so close to purchasing one but that makes me a little nervous, even some of the companies selling grip plugs on the web state they won't warranty there product when used on od glocks, does this still apply to gen 4 s ,thanks all.

I don't think anything conclusive was ever reached on the durability of the OD frames.  My main handgun is an FDE 19, although I do have a black 19 as backup.    The newer OD models seem darker than the old ones, so maybe that's indicative of something.

Why would Glock make an OD frame knowing it is weaker and more prone to breakage.  Internet rumor hype this one is worse than SCARs eat optics and Glocks are grenades.

Yeah, buy with confidence. I have yet to see even a photo (not that if I saw one it would mean anything) of a cracked OD Glock frame.

It's nothing but an internet rumor.
