In this thread:
http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_5_13/156805_Glock_42_Feed_problem___.html

There is discussion that magazines not marked '02' could have a problem feeding.

Does anyone know what the problem might be?

Will Glock exchange other mags for the '02'?

I bought 10 of the others and gave them to my better half and my sister:  I don't want them carrying them if they are a problem waiting to happen.

Thanks

I have the 02's.
Guy that works for me has an 01 and an 02.
No problem with his.

If you have an issue, Glock will replace them.

Glock replaced both of my mags, as well as several components of the pistol. The following article seems to explain the upgrades, and has some pics of the particular parts (including mags)...

Thanks for the link, definitely a difference between the mags.  I'll round up the 'old' mags and call Glock.

Mine came with 02 mags. I bought two more from Brownells and they are the earlier version. They all work the same in my G42.

Where on the mags does it say 1 or 2?
