Because of the enthusiasm regarding thsee that I've seen in a few recent threads, I made a point of asking to handle one I found in my lgs today. I must say I liked the clean lines of it.

I understand some production runs needed some sort of upgrade. Since this was a police turn-in, would it be safe to assume this would've been done at some point? If so, would it be also likely  that the firing pin has been replaced by a MIM one?

Finally, how far out of bounds is the $425 asking price? It was in good cosmetic condition with one mag.

Early Gen 2 they replaced the firing pins later ones were switched to current design.(depends on serial)

I got my G17.2 for 399+tax.  I would go for 425.... An online buy would be the same end price after transfer and shipping.

Wow, I guess the $320 I paid at Cabela's wasn't all that bad after all.  Sold that gun for a profit too.
