Are replacement frames still available from Glock for $100?

Is it one for one or can or can I just buy  an extra for an AA conversion?

Thank you, but those are 2x the money.

You'd have to call Glock about the replacement frames. I always understood it to be a 1 for 1 parts replacement/upgrade.

I HIGHLY doubt that they'll sell you just a frame for an AA kit. If they did sell just frames (esp for $100) you wouldn't have companies selling them for $180-225

Will a 17 slide fit on a compact (19) frame?

Yes but you'll need a dust cover (I think Lone Wolf is the only one) and an extended 19 barrel.
Sorry, it was raining..........

Glock will only upgrade an old frame to a new one for $100. It won't be the same serial number and they will destroy the old frame. If your looking for extra frames you would probably be best off checking the places others before me mentioned.

why can't the 17 barrel be used?

IIRC there are differences in the locking lug surfaces

Joe's right, the barrels are different in that area, and can't be interchanged.

And if you act fast, you could get a good deal on all those LW conversion parts to put your 17 slide on your 19
