I don't know about production numbers.  But is a GLOCK 17 in every way with taller sights, which I believe are by Ameriglo, sans tritium with a chartreuse dot on the front only.

The barrel is a GLOCK barrel, just longer and has some type of fruity euro threads on the end.  17/32"x25.4tpi left hand threads, wtf is that about?

Nobody makes a can or pistol for that shit.  GLOCK could not even get thread protectors for it.  They come with a slip on plastic sleeve.

It uses M13.5x1 LH threading which is the European standard and should be for the rest of the world as well.  The can doesn't loosen near as easily as 1/2x24 RH that the US uses.  All major manufacturers (AAC, SilencerCo, Gemtech, etc.) make cans for the metric threads Glock is using.

Actually the US standard for 9mm cans is 1/2"x28tpi.  This is easy to verify with a quick google search.  The same as .22LR and .223/5.56mm cans and mount.  Although the threaded length differs for each caliber specific application.

I mic'ed the G17 TB and it comes out right on 17/32" (.531" OD).  It is an odd size for sure, but the OD is not a big deal, I can turn to any OD.  And for left hand threads, I just run the machine backwards.

But I do not have a gear setting for 25.4tpi on my lathe.  I really hope this does not become the new popular standard.  Every body is copying GLOCK these days.

You are right I was on my tablet and typed it wrong.  I meant 1/2x28 but as you said the length varies between calibers.

Even S&W uses M13.5x1 LH threads on some M&P barrels.

Once I got past my initial bias, I've found the metric threads to be better than US threads for a couple reasons:

1. I've found that with the LH thread the cans are less likely to unscrew during firing.  That may have something to do with RH rifling of the barrel but I dunno for sure.
2. The threads are coarser so it takes less rotations of the can to take it on and off.
3. Metric pistons have O-rings that engage the unthreaded end of the barrel.  This keeps gunk from getting into the threads while firing.
4. Thread protectors can have O-Rings to engage the same unthreaded end of the barrel.  Thread protectors that have these are MUCH better than normal thread protectors.  I no longer have to worry about them coming off during IDPA.

There may be other advantages, but the above is what I've observed first hand.
