I know, apples to oranges, but anyway... I have shot the 19, 17, 23.
The g19 is the logical, ideal balance, great shooter. The g21 is pure emotional buy. I have always wanted a 45, and I have long hands that fit great on the 21. I also like the smooth recoil of 45s. The g19 is half the cost to shoot. 9mm penetrates great and 15 rds is maxed out for a CO resident - a big plus. The g21 is expensive to shoot. The has come full circle from insane knockdown myths to just a slightly bigger hole realities. So I am 90% on the g19 for my first Glock. But there is something about a 45, even demystified, that has drawn me in since I was a kid. I don't CCW, so this is nightstand, truck, camping, and drills gun. It will replace my Ruger p95 which has a trigger that doesn't work for my hands. It will pair with my AR in drills. I know I should just grab the 19, but the g21 won't go away in my head. I know in time I will have both, but that could be years apart. Is there practical, sensible reason the g21 would win the argument besides a slightly bigger hole? |

It makes little sense. I blame gun mags as a kid and 1911 fan boys for making me love the 45.
I'll get the g19 as the first, and if my desire for the ACP overtakes me, I'll pick up the 21 later. I'm a little confused, do the gen 4s still just come with just the 2 backstraps, or do they now include the additional beaver tail types? |
