Thanks for the feedback.  When I wrote 3 o'clock, I actually meant to put 4.  Looking at crossbreed or something similar such as Old Faithful or alien gear.  Not sure either of the last two make them for the 30s yet though.

My 30s rides just fine in my "Answer" G19/23 holster. It however does not fit in my Safariland ALS for the 19/23

I have my G30S upfront around the 2:00 position, but golly that grip is big. Or maybe it's my gut that's big. Whatever. I'll just buy big shirts from now on.

Duluth plumbers shirts with 3 inches of extra length work great. Although IMO they don't hold up that well, fade easily.

I was thinking of picking up a few of these.  I wish someone made a good assortment of shirts designed for this.  5.11 makes a few but I'm not that crazy about the colors or the pattern design..

I don't have much experience with the Comp-tac holsters.  How do they compare in comfort to the crossbreed or alien gear and such?

I too would buy some if it weren't for those patterns. They scream tourist. Which IMO marks you in some areas.

If you get the duluth shirts I recommend going with the trim fit, and I'm a bigger guy. They're cut a hell of a lot better. Also wait until they have a shipping special, their costs are high.

G17 gets the 4 oclock IWB
G26, 7 oclock, sometimes shoulder holster If I'm driving.

It really depends on what I'm doing, wearing, but I almost never carry only one firearm.

I have been trying out the AIWB with my Crossbreed Appendix holster.  Its going to take some getting used to.  I am having a hard time getting comfortable sitting with the 30s driving up into my diaphragm.

Appendix carry is what the cool kids are doing at the moment.  Personally, It scares the crap out of me because there is a good chance you are pointing a loaded gun at your femoral artery when you draw.  If it works for you go for it.

I have been carrying my 30S a good bit lately.  I just acquired a Mitch Rosen USD, which is my favorite style holster, for it, and I carry it at 4:00.

And or reproductive organs.

Still, using a weapon in good condition, i.e. not a fucking Jimenz. and being very conscientious about what the fuck you are doing, I think its a good way to maintain positive control of the weapon in any sort of scuffle.
