I bought my 30s new and have maybe 100 down the tube.  I replaced the base with the Pearce pinky rest on my 2 10 rd mags.  The slide does not lock back when fired on the last round.  I checked myself at the range today to make sure I wasn't riding my thumb on the slide stop.  When I came home I racked the slide wih the 2 ten tounders in it and it still would not lock back.  I racked I with my 9 rounder and it held open on an empty mag every time.  What do you think it could be?

Maybe the Pearce base is not letting the Mag seat far enough up to catch  the slide and lock it back?

Woopse, forgot to mention I switched back to the factory base plate and same, not locking back on an empty mag.  These mags are new, they came with the pistol.   I took off the slide and switched between the 9 and 10 rd mag, seems like the 9 rd holds the slide stop a little higher, but it may be my mind playing tricks on me.  I'm so frustrated!

Eta, the Pearce have as much a gap as the factory mag between the base plate and the bottom of the grip, seems to be seating fine.

Sell me that defective 9 round magazine and be done with it . Problem solved....<><....

I'm still looking for another 9 round mag for my 30s. Just missed them at Natchez, they were in stock and out of stock in the blink of an eye....

I got lucky with the elusive 9.  Asked my local dealer one day if he had any and sure enough he pulled one from the bin full of glock mags.

But these tens are driving me crazy!

I've noted that the 30S has issues with 9 and 10 round mags that other multiple 30SFs are fine with. I haven't seen failure to lock open, but typically FTF.

Guys, I could  not take it any more today so I took my mags and drove to my sisters and brother in laws house, found his glock 30 and plugged my mags in it.  Guess what, they both locked his 30 back on an empty chamber.  I'm taking one  of his mags to test in mine.  My assumption is it's my 30s but what could it be.  Any suggestions before I begin to tare it apart?

I had a 21 I was armoring a few years back do something similar.  Check your slide stop to see if it is chipped.  Doubtful since it is so new but I suppose it could be defective.
