I am looking at putting a factory 5 lb connector in my gen 4 34 to bring the trigger pull up to what I am used to on my gen 3 19.

Does the gen 4 need a generation specific connector or will one connector work across the different generations? Are there any other parts/springs that need to be swapped to achieve the same trigger pull as my gen 3 19 with the factory 5lb connector?

Do y'all recommend installing a Ghost connector instead of a factory Glock connector? If I did the Ghost connector it would probably be the Patrol model.

Thanks in advance.

Same connectors - but Glock made a "." aka "dot" connector for the gen4's... the new trigger housing (to compensate for the backstraps) changed the geometry a bit...

*if you put in a regular 5.5lb connector it'll actually be HEAVIER that what you are used to from the Gen3's...

Many people prefer the dot connector for the gen4's.

Connectors are standard across most models.

Personal preference.  Ghost makes good connectors.

If you want to get rid of that minus connector from your G34, let me know.  I will swap it for a Gen 4 dot connector.

If I put a Ghost Patrol connector in both guns, will the trigger pull be the same on both?

ETA: I'll let you know when I decide what I'm going to do Dookie.

No, the gen 4 will be slightly heavier due to the modified geometry of the trigger housing in order to make the grip frame shorter (from front to back) than the gen 3.

If you want to swap even for a stock 5 lb connector out of a gen 4 with ZERO rounds on it, let me know.  I have one from my 17.
