That spring recall was in the summer of 2011.  If you bought your gun after that you are fine.

^this is correct, it only applied to a couple of the early gen4's that were released.

Not really applicable any longer, unless of course you purchased a used G17 that had not already had it replaced.

2-3 of my G17 were eligible for the replacement, but if memory serves me, I only had one done.

Well, it would seem that the RSA issue is not entirely over as my new Gen 4 G19 (test round date 7/2013) does indeed have a bad/faulty RSA.
Confirmed by Glock tech support after explaining what was happening and performing the couple of tests they walked me through.

All in all it's no big deal, Glock is sending a new spring assembly this week.

Slide wouldn't return to full battery.  Just got the new RSA, problem solved!

A couple of issues are in play here.

The initial spring recall was for the summer of 2011 and before.  For the full size and compact Glocks.

When the G26, G27 guns started using the new springs in the spring of 2012 they didn't have a recall but had numerous problems and would swap out springs on request.  They changed the spring numbers on those guns too and ditched the initial "new recoil" spring for an upgrade to the upgrade.  (If you find new old style springs, the older black ones, grab them).

Frequently with the new springs they have an issue where your gun will not return fully to battery.  If you call Glock and explain the issue they will usually send you a new one without issue.
