Ill be the Guinea Pig I may regret it but I ordered two 17 rnd Hi Caps total was 35.82 so about 17.91 a piece if I could have afforded more it would have been cheaper a piece I am sure

Yeah, I bought 3 more G22's and a 20rnd Colt AR mag for a whopping $59 total.  Considering dinner and a movie tonight was $25 I think I can make it.  Now the wait begins until arrival day...

this a good company to order from?

i was looking to order some glock mags here a few months ago, and i was looking for some coupons online and i ran into this: www.resellerratings.com/seller4061-p2-s3-d1.html

seems to be a pretty crappy record, so i did not ordered from em and took the safe route and went to lonewolfdist.com

so, is botac.com a good place to order from now?

and thanks for the heads up

Well, it's a caveat emptor sort of thing.  What they show on the site generally has little to do with reality, and sometimes can be quite a PITA to get your product in anything resembling haste.  We went round and round with them on some RBR helmets a while back which were drop shipped but anyway...

I have a stock of hicaps already but at $14ea I can afford to wait a month or two for 3 more.  If you need them this week, by all means go to your favorite distributor.  If it's not time critical, go ahead with these.  In my experience you will get your order eventually...

I've ordered from Botach and haven't had any trouble. If you have a problem with companys keeping things on back order for a long time, let them read some of the email I got from sportsman guide.]

We do need your approval to keep the item on backorder.  Please take a moment and call or email us if you still wish to receive the merchandise after the new expected ship date.  Contact our Customer Service Department toll-free 1-800-882-2945 or click "reply" to email.

If we do not receive a reply from you within ten days we will cancel your backordered merchandise, in compliance with FTC law.

We have not charged your card for the above item.  If you choose to keep the item on order, we will charge your card when we ship the item.

I don't know any more about FTC law but I've read before that companys are not  supposed to charge you before they have the item, except special order I think, and you do have the right to cancel orders with no charge or penalty if the item is not available when promised.

I know that Botac gets a bad rap from some people, and I am sure that it may be well deserved, but I have ordered from them many times and have had no problems at all. Instead of ordering online, I have always browsed the site to find what I want and then called them to place the order. On more than one occasion, I have had them call me back to tell me that my order had been packed and was going to be sent out. YMMV, but I have always had good luck with them. If you are law enforcement or a gov't employee, they will also cut you a better deal sometimes. Just my .02.

I got an EMail saying that they are shipped but the tracking number they gave me comes up empty.... this is typical though sometimes it takes UPS a day to get the number in the system I am not worried yet.

I have many full capacity Glock mags at $17.50 each while supply lasts...tha only thing I will warn you about is that the web site order will overcharge for shipping and I will either adjust the total to reflect approx$4 shipping USPS or refund the difference is you use PayPal...

Full capacity Glock mags

Thanks,

Ken

Wow, well FWIW mine are showing in transit as of yesterday!  Good news indeed.

Like I said, I wanted to make sure everybody knew about their mediocre rep on some shipments.  I still value the ARFCOM community and don't want somebody torqued if it took a while.

We had a bad time on a gov't PO order for some helmets, I had a great deal on a 6004 and ITI M3.  Some other stuff was held in backorder for going on 2 months IIRC.  Just don't order a sling or something important if your training day is a month away and you're looking to save $3.

"Out for delivery"!

I feel for the BBT guy, this weather sucks today.  Ah well, at least my mags will get here sometime

I order from Botac all the time.  My mags will be arriving today.

If botac sends out an email with a sale price, generally you're good to go as far as the item being in stock.

It's about time somebody started selling high craps for a decent price! w00t!

The BBT just showed up with my order and I now have my first set of non-LEO marked G22 mags.  They're identical to my LEO mags otherwise, except they don't have the 3206 numbering on the baseplate.

Actually the followers on these are MUCH different than my other mags.  Forget about using the slide release on an empty mag.  I don't know why you'd want to, but...  New mag on the right.

And FYI the 'Colt 20rnd' that I bought from them is marked:

COLT'S MFG.
HARTFORD, CT.

MFG.
9-04

on the body and it has a COLT'S MFG. CO. INC. baseplate.  It's a straight 20 with a black plastic follower.

Those fucking retards sent me two of the WRONG MAGS.  God Damned Imbeciles!

That's what you get for speaking nicely of them!

I just got my 2 17 rnd G17 mags today gonna try em out see if I have the same follower problem.
3/1/2005 4:22:26 PM EDT
[#22]
Why do you think you could not hit the slide release on the empty mag?  Mine slammed shut, no problem, the follower is exactly the same as the one on my new G17mags that came in the box with the gun from Glock.

Because I did it and damn near degloved my thumb.  That's a good enough reason for me.   YMMV (obviously) but for whatever reason the new followers are different on my 3rd gen G22.  I could care less as the slide release is a vestigial item on a Glock IMHO, but I felt a need to state what I found anyway.  I will hypothesize that it must be the springs that are stiffer than all my other mags making this happen (note, it isn't a problem and I never said it was).

Whoa wasnt trying to start anything!  Youre right it is very stiff, these are good mags I like em. Hope you liek yours.

Heh, <gin fueled general discussion mode off>  no problem.  I was thinking it had something to do with the different follower profile, but it has to be the springs.

What did they send you, .40 mags?  I wouldn't have minded a little better packaging, but everything made it ok.

I got my G17 mags today.  They are GLock all right but the springs have some extra power to them!!! Followers are the same as all my other LEO marked HI Caps

DID THEY JUST RAISE PRICES???????

Now they show Colt 9mm mags available!  Shit!  I wonder what they would ship if you ordered those...

Golf Clubs maybe???

I figured they would, that's why I ordered my extras even though I was pretty much set.  But you can't ever have too many mags.
