My 1989 vintage Glock 17 was looking really bad. I dont mind honest holster wear but it got some scratches that made it look abused, not use.

I removed the sights and stripped all the parts from the slide. I sent Glock the stripped slide and asked them to refinish it for $45.00.

I got it back recently, turn around of about 5-weeks. For $45.00 they refinished the slide like new, installed new internal slide parts (firing pin, extractor, ect.) and new (plastic) sights and sent it back Fed-Ex 2nd day.

The finish is a nice dark black. Finish is even, no blotchyness or other flaws. The new free parts were a nice added bonus.

If anyone is on the fence about sending a slide to Glock for refinishing I would say do it.

You got a new 90-degree extractor? Cool... do you have any pics?

Yes on the extractor. FWIW Glock still makes and sells non LCI 90 degree extractors.  You just cant get the SP01889 extractors that came after the 90 degree but before the LCI anymore.
