Currently have 17, 19, 22, 27.
Leaning towards a 30S. Intrigued by 41. Would get 42 if it was a 9, but it's out. Likely getting a lone wolf 9 barrel for 27 so the 26 is likely out. I would like my next to be fde and don't think 30S is make in fde......... |

Ohhhhh I like 9 but I also like 40.......the 27 is one of my favorites. Then again the 17 and 19 are possibly the two best handguns ever made. Load em up with some 124+p gold dots........wow. Now you got me thinking 9. Maybe a 34. G34 is the right answer. HTR. |

I would like my next to be fde and don't think 30S is make in fde......... I have personal bias against running anything other than a factory barrel in a self defense gun. Range use is different. I've owned some conversion barrels in the past. I just don't use them for self defense. So in your situation, I'd get a 26 (find one in FDE??) just to make sure the conversion barrel was never accidentally left in the 27 in a "bet your life on it situation". Since I'm **not** in your situation (other than having a 27 and being intrigued by the 41), I would buy a 41, and I will soon. |

I drove to over 5 gun shops in my town looking for a
Fde g19 and no luck. I asked if they could order one. All of them said there were no 19's available. Some 17's and some other models are available , but I want a 19. So does anybody know where I can order a Fde19 that is in stock? |
| Regarding the dull gray finish, I do the sane thing I won't buy them so I scan for the slick egg shell finishes. Of my four only the 27 has the dull gray because I didn't know what the difference was back when I got it. Ironically it is my only gen 3, and usually people associate it with the gen 4s. I've found it not to be generation specific. |

i wanted a 30s also until my LGS got one in the other day and it had the dull grey finish and already had a few small scratches so i opt for the FDE gen4 27 since i got a 19 and 22 already. im like you i want my next glock OD or FDE. What's up with the "new" finish? It sucks, plain and simple. I know Glock had to get away from the tennifer finish a few years ago. I have bought several since then. The finish was still very durable, just grey instead of black. The slide finish looked as if it was bead blasted then coated with a shiny material. The last Glock I bought (June 2013 test fire date) has a smooth surface and a matte grey finish with several scuffs and wear marks after only a few weeks of carrying. I don't understand why Glock changed their finish yet again. |
| I own all the .40s but the 35. I had the 21OD and liked it but gave it to my dad to carry when out in the pasture with his beef cows and bull. I'd like myself to try the new long slide .45 after someone produces a 6" barrel for it as I'm thinking Wisconsin Whitetails. It's all up to you . If you like the .40, try a 35? |
