| Anyone here have put a after market barrel in their Glock? What are the benefits and is it worth it? I am asking because I was thinking about getting a lighter trigger for my G33 and I wanted to know if it's worth the money to change out the barrel also. I only have about 4k through the gun to this date. |

The first stop for most people is Lone Wolf www.lonewolfdist.com I need a new trigger set too, after shooting past 500rds each session my finger has had it with the stock trigger, they have a little bite to them. Your barrel is good to go. Most barrels last 20K, the HK barrels over 30K, glocks have been proven time and time again to go over 100K rounds. |

If you have a Glock with a grooved trigger, you might consider swapping it out for a trigger bar with a smooth trigger. I use only smooth triggers in my Glocks. I'd suggest that you do a search on Glocktalk for the "$.25 trigger job". It's pretty simple to polish all the contact surfaces of the firing mechanism. I use Simichrome polish and a soft, white polishing wheel with a Dremel. I also use the Scherer 3.5# connectors in my Glocks...they break cleaner than any of the other brands that I've tried so far. The Ghost Ultimate connector is similar in pull to the Scherer. My Glocks' triggers pul from just over 3# to just under 4#. |
I'd just like to add that I installed a Lonewolf 9mm conversion barrel in a friend's G22, and it's been flawless, using G17 mags. Might want to try one for some cheap shooting. |
I might give that a try now that glock mags are so cheap, thanks. |
