| Has anyone taken the class? I'm wondering if it is worth it. |

They used to offer a pistol discount, I believe two per year, but have since canceled the program. Quoted:

Dont tbey give you a good discount if you complete it? They used to offer a pistol discount, I believe two per year, but have since canceled the program. I don't remember that being tied with armorers certification... You do get a coupon to buy a blue label (ie LEO discount) gun after a year in the GSSF. I believe you either have to be LEO or work for a gun store to get in a class now. GSSF membership used to let you register but I also don't think that applies anymore either. I could be wrong, FWIW. Between the time I went through it the first time (2006) and the last time (2012) there were several changes made. |

| It's a good class with quality instructors. I've been through the class three times. You'll take a Glock completely and put it back together again at least twenty times. You'll get updated Glock information with a class manual and some armorers tools. The class firearms are provided. No other guns allowed in the class. Lunch is catered. |

Disregard my post then, that was the part I was sure was cancelled. |

I took the youtube Glock armorer's course. (I'm certified)
I'm a farkin' pro.
When I first got into Glocks, I thought I wanted to do this too (now it seems, it's not so easy for a regular joe/non-LEO, like me) but it doesn't really matter anyways, now that I understand the inner workings of a Glock better. Gunsmith-free gunsmithing FTMFW. |
