After jacking the first round into the chamber it takes about 3lbs of pressure to pull the trigger to the most rearward position. (no pop) Glock triggers have that "stacking" feel. As you pull them. When the FTF happens you don't feel anything in the trigger. It acts just like the slide locked to the rear and the trigger is pulled. I thought Glocks were reliable. |
| Do a function check. REMOVE THE MAG AND EMPTY THE CHAMBER. NOW DOUBLE CHECK THAT THE CHAMBER IS EMPTY. 1. With the mag removed rack the slide and let it slam forward, don't ride it forward. 2. Point the gun in a safe direction and pull the trigger, you should hear and feel a click, keep the trigger pulled to the rear and without letting go of the trigger rack the slide again. 3. Let go of the trigger, you should feel and hear another click, thats the trigger reset. 4. Pull the trigger again, you should get another click of the striker falling, keep the trigger pulled and shake the gun, you should hear the striker moving back and forth in the firing pin channel. 5. Rack the slide again and grasp the trigger with your thumb and forefinger on each side, do not depress the trigger safety, the gun should not dryfire, this tests the safety. When you said it took 3lbs. of pressure and no pop did you mean no click from the striker falling? With the limited information you have given it could be several things. If you rode the slide forward when you chambered a round, it may not be in battery. Without being able to examine the gun it sounds like it could be the firing pin or the trigger return spring or trigger bar. Do the function test and detail what does and does not happen in your next post or IM me. I'm an armorer and I'll try to help you out. |
