| Alright guys, I can't decide and I need your help. I'm planning on picking up a new Glock tomorrow. I currently have the following Gen 4 Glocks: 19, 22, 23 and 34. I am thinking about picking up either a Gen 4 17, 21sf or 35. It will be used for a range toy with the exception of the 35 which I would occasinaly use for competitions and 3 guns. None of the 3 will be carried. The pro's of the 17 and 35 would be that I already have a 34 and 22 that use the same mags (respectively). Also, I already have a decent supply of 9mm and .40 ammo. The biggest con of the 21 would be that I don't have any mags or ammo for it. I'm leaning more toward the 35 as I would also get a KKM .357 SIG barrel and have the ability to shoot both calibers. But I also feel like I need to add a .45 to the stable. If you were in my position which would you choose? Thanks for your time and for playing along! |
| My favorite Glock was the Gen4 G21 up until three weeks ago. I finally got the Gen4 G30 I had been looking for. Now IT is my favorite Glock. I know you said you were considering the 21sf. Keep in mind, the Gen4 G21 with no backstrap is the same size frame as the 21sf. I like the grip of the Gen4 much better than the Gen3. Just my .02. Good luck, can't lose no matter which one you choose. |

Given what you already have, and IF you can live with needing different mags/ammo, my pick would be the 21SF. Full disclosure: I personally have a 21SF inbound to my FFL as I type this. (It will be my 24th current Glock, and my 26th ever... )
I agree, although I would go gen 4 21 instead of 21SF. Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |
