I must be doing something wrong.....I have had a number of issues with some new guns I purchased.....anyway after doing some research i decided to add a Glock 17 Gen 3  to my collection....went shooting.....fired 50 rounds with no issue.....switched to American Eagle and had two failure to feed issues....brass pointing up with nose of bullet half in chamber......brand new mag that came with the gun......no additional jams.....I've always heard how reliable Glocks were so it was surprising to see..I cleaned the gun tonight and it wasn't that dirty...Plan to shoot again next weekend ....Any ideas on what might have caused this would be appreciated....

Limp wristing, most likely.  Glocks require a relatively firm grip.

I'm not calling you a nancy, but I've seen guys who shoot .30-30 Contenders for fun limp wrist a Glock.

Well.....I feel better...the Nancy was my wife....(except that's not her name ) who was shooting with me......both jams happened on her watch.....I've heard of the term "Limp Wristing"  but never knew what exactly what it meant...my guess is just what it sounds like...I'll look it up.....BTW....how would the way you hold  the gun effect the performance? .....I see folks on Youtube shooting Glocks underwater, dug up out of the ground caked in dirt and covered with molasses and still get the damn things to fire....

Wow.....Thank You......seemed to effect the Glock more than the others...very interesting.....wonder what causes the failure....has to be the effect gravity has on the rounds coming up thru the mag.causing them to tilt slightly causing the misfire

Obviously the best solution is to teach proper technique when shooting but I wonder if this would help by adding mass to the frame? It is a brass backstrap gap weight and should provide a fair amount of weight to the frame.

A common contributing factor to limp wrisiting is not having your grip high enough up on the blackstrap. There should not be any gap between the web of your hand and the dovetail.
