So, about two weeks ago I stumbled upon a G30S for a fair price, despite having a blue label package on order, and ultimately it followed me home. I took it to the range last weekend and had one FTF in 110 rounds. I suspect it was a mag issue, since it occurred with the last round in the mag. The mags were very tight but they loosened up after leaving them loaded with 10 rounds for a couple of days. Half of the ammo was 230 gr. American Eagle, 50 more were Federal Hi-Shok and 10 were Federal HST. I noticed that most of my hits were about 2-3" high at 15 yards. The trigger pull was crisp but heavier than I like. All in all, I was pleased but recognized there was room for improvement.

A few days pass and I start going through a bunch of disconnectors until I find one that is significantly lighter and crisper than the one that came in the gun. Still a factory Glock 5.5lb disconnector, but I've found there's always a bit of difference between them. Then I install an Ameriglo Pro Glo front sight and standard Trijicon rears. While I'm at it, I pick up two more mags.

Today I take a friend to the range for a little first time pistol instruction and afterwards decide to run another 100 rounds through the pistol. This time, all Federal American Eagle 230 gr. Again, I had one failure to return fully into battery but a slight tap on the rear of the slide took care of the issue. My trigger was much better but not too light. At any rate, I was surprised at how accurate this little pistol is once I got everything dialed in and I'm very pleased with the night sights...corrected my POA perfectly.

This is 10 rounds of Federal AE 230 gr. FMJ from 15' standing unsupported.

Was just playing with one of them today at my LGS / indoor shooting range. I asked if the would let me try it before I buy it, that didn't fly.

Guess I'm gonna have to pony up the dough next week and buy it.

Thanks for the range report and info.

If that target was at 15 yards and you were shooting off hand it does not get any better with any gun.

Sweet shooting. The trigger on mine has been smoothing out the more I shoot it so I'm holding back from changing anything. I did find I had to sand that really sharp front edge of the Pearce extension cause it felt like it was going to slice my pinkie.

Correct 15 feet.

I see that now. Even so there are a lot of guys that can't do that. Still dang good shooting.
