[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Serial number question

I'm buying a G17 used off a local, and my only concern is the serial number. With his pictures I don't see one on the rear of the barrel, or it's hidden by the flash. What do you guys think?

that's my point.... unless someone polished it I think it is aftermarket.... not really a big deal I would ask if they have the factory barrel. run th eserial through the registry and see if it is reported stolen if not buy that mofugga

what happened, did you buy? Curious as to how you landed on the purchase even though this is the first time I've visited the thread.

I'm looking at buying a Gen4 and I'm waiting for Glock folks to school me on serial # versus mfr date in a separate thread.

The 2nd pic looks like a factory barrel. Did you ask them?
