Gent's,

I've been thinking about buying one...there's mixed reviews on these (recoil spring & extraction issues) - what's the consensus? My FFL has one that he just got in on Thursday - spent shell envelope proof dated 8/5/13 (so it a brand new mfg pistol). The only other Glock I own is a G31 in .357 Sig (Gen 3) which I love. I'm just looking to add a smaller frame 9mm to the arsenal and this one feels & looks to be GTG.

Thanks in advance!

You can't really go wrong with a 19. They are great guns. The 19/23 is probably the best model of the Glock IMO. Not to big, so you can CC if you want, but big enough to be fun at the range. If you like Glocks and the price is right, jump on it. I'm thinking about a G23 myself. I looked at the 19 but decided that since I already have 2 9mm pistols, that I want to diversify a little bit. But, before I jump on a 23, I'm going to jump on a 20 and a 29. 10mm FTW!

I have had two built this year and they have been flawless. Granted neither one are high round count. Probably a few hundred rounds through each.

Get one already.

I asked Dan the same question, he said 2012 and later are problem free.

I just recently purchased a G17  and I am IN LOVE!

I am looking for a G19 g4 in FDE but not having mutch luck locally.

I owned a colt delta elite and loved that damn thing but a guy made me an offer i could not refuse. I made a NICE  profit but regretted that sale to this day.
Money is not always what makes you happy, especially as happy as ringing steel at 100yrds with ease!

This brings me to my question does glock make a 10mm in a G19/23 size frame?

Yea, called a G-29.  Little smaller but wider and chunkier.  It my daily carry now.

I just bought a Glock 19 G4 last month. I only have about 200 rounds through it but it's been flawless so far. This is my new favorite gun and will become my new ccw once I get more rounds through it.

Well shit...you guys talked me into it Went back to my FFL and brought this little bad boy home! A couple of mandatory "pic's or it didn't happen". I also ended up grabbing some extra mags while I was there - for a total of 90 rounds at the ready

What did you have to give for it? If you want to share.

Sure, I don't have a problem sharing...$575.00. I realize that's a little high but, it was just calling my name Plus, it's only money - you can't take it with you when your numbers up. What's more, having a brand new gun in the safe puts a bigger smile on my face rather than a few dead presidents printed on paper in my wallet

You only life once, I like to enjoy it to the fullest...which to me is owning firearms related toys!

Ran 497 rounds through a brand new one last Sunday afternoon and couldn't be happier.  Good choice.

Nice.   I think I'm just over 1000 rounds through mine.

I have about 2500 through mine and no a single issue...

Nice! Solid gun and lots of fun. I carry Gen 4 G19 daily and also run a G17 (both in FDE) in the winter or at night w/ light. Love them both. Also helps being able to run either one in same holster.

Nice job OP! Oh and go Avs

edit: have about 4k thru the 19 and like 1500 thru the 17.  I like the feel of the 19 better when firing and seem to have better accuracy even though it has shorter sight radius.

Good purchase!  I love my G19 Gen4!

I had a Gen 3 G17 that suffered from BTF issues to the point where, after 2 cross-country trips to Smyrna and back, Glock finally had to replace the entire gun. Miserable experience.

I ended up selling the replacement G17 for a Gen 4 G19 and man is it SWEET. I loved my 17, but it wasn't comfortable for me to conceal and I didn't mind giving up that extra 2rd capacity. Plus I still have my old 17 mags.

I'd say go for it, and if you have any ejection/extraction issues, sent it back to Glock, or try the Apex Tactical FRE.

A little high, doubtful.... probably the best $575 you've ever spent..... Congrats!

You either love it or hate it, depending on whether or not you have the "brass to face" problem.  I hate mine right now..

When did you buy yours? Wondering if any recently made glocks having this problem. All the reports I have read say no.

Range Report:

Well, I finally got some range time with my G19...215 rounds fired yesterday w/2 brass ejections to the dome Since, that equates to <1% - I think I'll run some more rounds through it before contacting Glock for a potential warranty issue/work. Since purchasing I've installed some super bright Trijicon Night Sights, a Ghost 3.5 lb connector, and a Glock extended slide release. This pistol is really accurate...with ball & hollow point ammo! I'll update with my next range report.

Cheers
