How can I fix my stippling that's worn? I stippled my duty weapon and over the course of the year it's worn due to the grip getting rubbed agaisnt the seat belt, walls, etc.  I used small solder tool to stipple it.  Can I use a dremmel, re sand everything down and restipple it?

Keep that up and you won't have any frame left.
Particularly the sanding.

Try putting some material on the frame.
Look for one of the threads about adding grip areas onto rifle stocks with Marine-Tex.

At this point, I wouldn't even bother to try again. Get a Like the man above me posted, you won't have hardly any frame left. Too risky.

Yea that's what I thought.  I'm just going to get another glock.  Can't go wrong buying a new gun!  Thanks guys!

You can send it to glock and get a new frame, I think it's under $200.

Hmmm.... I would still need to buy a new weapon anyways for duty use while the other one is sent away unless the turn around time is 2 days.

Which Glock? You can find brand new Gen 3 9mm/.40 frames on Gunbroker in the $200 range; 10mm/.45 and Gen 4 models are a bit more.

You could replace your existing frame, then pick up a .22 conversion kit and use the old frame with that. Win!

Do a silicon dioxide home job on it.

Tape off the grip areas...small a thin layer of a strong epoxy or glue, then apply your 80 grip silicon dioxide. Enjoy!

Why don't you guys use grip tape?  Replace it if it comes off, remove it if you don't like it.  The adhesive comes off with some Goo Gone.

Not hardcore enough, you have to melt your gun to make it tier 1.

Yet another reason not to stipple: it looks like shit.

Well, yea, if you let your drunk uncle Cletus do it with a spark plug connected to his '73 Impala it might look like shit.....Bowie Tactical, Cold Bore Customs and Dale Hunnicut do most of my work and I don't think anyone would say it "looked like shit". Grip tape, after it's been on awhile and is dirty and half off, looks like shit.
