Anybody bought Glock's new GAP .45?  They look and feel awesome.  I hear a lot of the competition shooters are snatching them up.

I've had mine for over a year and other them the cost of ammo I like it alot. The only thing I changed was the recoil spring/guide rod to a SS rod and a #22 spring.

I've got wood for a G37 and I'm close, real close to making the move.

Me too.  I know it's wrong but it feels so right...

Wait, are we talking about the G37 still?

M4arc, I took the plunge!

I picked up a new G37 yesterday and I will be off to the range today.

Damn you!  No, seriously, congratulations!  I expect a full range report and pictures this evening.

I'm working on a deal and if it goes through an OD G37 will me mine but I'd really like to shoot one first.

Alright, alright, I admit it. I got small hands (not feet ) and had to buy the small grip  45 GAP.

I'm blaming my purchase of a G37 yesterday entirely on HotRod9mm's picture!

Thanks. I have to admit I like the OD Glocks too. I have a G19 and G23 both in OD.

Hope your deal works out.

I have small hands too and that is why the G37 would be a good choice if I wanted a caliber with a little more ass behind it.  Think about it, it would be just like picking up my G17 but have similiar performance to the 45ACP!  IF I get a G37 I'm thinking it would be a great nightstand gun for me.

In your opinion, how does it compare to the 45 ACP or even the .40?  The only thing I've heard is that it's "snappier" than most expected.

I really need to shoot one

I only put about 150 rounds downrange. Accuracy seems on par with most other Glocks. I will throw on a set of Heinies and then do some "fine work" with it . I found the recoil to be pleasant and controllable. Certainly less muzzle flip than the .40's and .357 sig.

All in all I liked it a lot. Just locked down a case of Lawman 200 gr FMJ's for under $12.00 a box. Cant wait till the model 38 comes out.

So it's a keeper?

Damn, I may just have to get one of these

ETA: Do they come with 10 rounders?  Is that it or are 12/13 rounders available???

Absolutely a keeper!

Comes with 10 rounders, 10 is the max. Possibly one of the factory Glock mag extensions could work.

FWIW: If you get a new one, try and get the latest production you can. They have redesigned the mags. My date code is GAE, made in August 04. The slide cant be closed easily on an empty mag by using the slide stop lever because the follower is high in the back. This doesn't matter to me as I dont use the slide stop lever anyway. My thoughts were if there is a redesigned mag, it might be easier to load the 10th round. Some of the post ban 10 rounders were a bitch to get the full 10 rounds in as they wanted to make sure there was no way it could take 11. Hopefully the newer mags might not be so bad. Glock will be happy to exchange your mags if need be though.

That pic was the last thing I saw before I went to the gunstore to buy my G37!

I probably shouldn't as I'm trying to find excuses NOT to buy one

Nice photos!  You need to send some of these to Glock so they can use them in promos and catalogs!
