Some time ago TAS out of Israel introduced a fast acquisition target sight to the Glock line. At SHOT in Jan 13 they introduced a combat sight called the J sight. I had tried the original sight for target shooting and found it very fast and accurate. Once I got my hands on the new J sight I had the perfect sight for not only range shooting but for carry.
I use a XS Big Dot on the front and the TAS on the rear. Once you get used to just using the rear single dot fiber optic the front sight in daytime becomes a non entity............put the dot on the target a shoot.............simple and fast. At night I use the front sight only .....
I hear they will be coming out with a tritium / fiber optic in the near future making it a true 24./7 sight.

Laser Ammo.com is one of their distributors and now have them in stock in green or orange for around $ 75.00
If anyone wants to see a shot of mine installed drop me a line [email protected]

Watch the video on the TAS-sights.com website for proof of how fast this sight is.

Yeah. Must be trying to sell them. There are a lot of companies selling gear that have no business being on a fighting pistol (this is one!).

So from that review, I got you still need to use some of the front sight? Not seeing the advantage.

I love the new gadgets as well as the next guy but I always find myself asking this question when it comes to sights- specifically pistol sights- If they work so great then why aren't the SPEC OP guys and swat teams using them instead of the conventional night sights they currently use ? And therein lies your answer

I actually have a TAS sight on my 17. It's really a decent sight and easy to use. I don't use the front site like the video referenced above, I just put the green circle on the target and I hit it. I am not a great pistol shooter but I shoot the TAS sight as well as any other sight I have (target sight on a GP100, Truglo on a 19, Heine Slant on a Kimber Compact, Novaks on a SR1911, and the standard glock and XD-45 sights). The big difference and payoff being the speed at which you can use it. No thinking involved, just put the green circle on the target and it gets a hole through it. After a couple mags, I was painting like an artist with it.

While I am not a paid endorser of the sight, nor selling them in any way whatsoever...I did meet Falcon1 when he sold me his Ruger 10/22 via the EE last year. Good guy.

roy d...so now they need to make one for my Kimber Compact cuz I'd buy it
