I had an extended slide stop & mag release on my Glock G 22C ( I bought it with these installed) just for the hell of it today I switched to the stock controls, im thinking I like the stock ones better, what do you guys prefer?

I'm not a big fan of extended controls.

Generally I prefer stock over the Glock extended controls - I find the extended slide stop too easily activated and the extended GEN3 magazine release sharp and uncomfortable.  I run OEM standard slide stops on all of my Glocks.  Several of my Glocks have the Vickers extended magazine release, which I find less objectionable than the Glock factory extended.  I find the Glock GEN4 extended magazine release closer in length to the Vickers/FBI releases, and currently run one on my GEN4 G17.

In the end though, this isn't a one size fits all question.  I know guys (and gals) who have trouble reaching the stock slide stop, and for them the extended controls are a critical upgrade.  Similarly, I've seen shooters with larger hands send the slide forward on empty magazines because they inadvertently activate the slide stop.  I seem to recall reading that David Sevigny would configure his G34 with a cut down slide stop to prevent accidental activations.  For these folks, extended controls could be a liability.

I have small hands so the extended controls are a lot more comfortable for me.

I can't reach either the stock slide stop or mag release without changing my grip.

Mag Release only.  Extended slide stop was causing issues for me.
