| looking to buy some KCI mags for a g19, any good? |
| The springs in mine were very weak, didn't lock the slide reliably. Replaced them with Wolff springs, cleaned out the molding flash with an xacto knife, no more issues. That said, I got them when they were under $10 a mag, so even after spring replacement they were an economical alternative for range use. I'd only carry Glock brand mags for defensive use. |

This, except I didn't bother to replace the springs. |

I'm a once and only once buyer. The price tells everything about the quality and I only use them for the range.

As other have said, they are really only acceptable for range use only and even then their value is questionable?
It takes a lot to ruin or wear out a factory Glock mag and even then they can typically be rebuilt so is there really a need for "range mags"? I don't know what the pricing looks like right now with all the craziness going on but at normal pricing, the Korean mags ran around 40% of the factory Glock mag pricing. Meaning you could buy 10 KCI's for the price of 4 Glock mags. On face value that may seem like a good deal but if you think about it, considering they are only good for range use, you will still need to stock up on some factory mags. So would you rather have say 6 factory mags and 10 KCI's or just 10 factory mags? To each their own but I'd rather just have 10 factory mags and not have to worry about which one I'm grabbing. 10 factory mags will last most people a lifetime. |

I retardedley sold 10 KCI mags in November for $10 a piece. Obviously I couldn't have predicted Sandy Hook, but I've been using my remaining KCI mags pretty regularly and they work pretty well.
I'd pick up a few more for half the price of Glock mags. Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |

IMHO they are junk. They might function reliably.
True story. I grabbed a bag out of my car and two mags fell out onto the driveway. One was a KCI one was a factory Glock mag. The drop was 4ft or so, not that high. The KCI exploded on the impact, the base plate just flew off and all the rounds went every which way. The Glock mag was unaffected. Moral of the story. Only buy Glock factory mags. |
| I bought 8 of them from centerfire systems last week for $70. Fit and finish on them is much better than my previous kci mags. They are almost indistinguishable from factory glock mags. Loading was rough at first but after leaving them loaded for a day itook them yo the range and they all ran perfectly. They also loaded much easier after keeping them loaded over night. These were g19 mags btw. Ymmv |
