Most places that sell them actual say in the description that they are sold separately.

Sorry it didn't turn out the way you thought it would, but...

It says right on their web page:

•Glock Magazine Base Pad, item 968128, requires a Glock Magazine Insert, item 883766

So I don't see where you have a beef with Midway.

I used to think so too. Then I had a mag fly apart and dump 18 rounds of 9mm on the ground during a class.
