I picked up a new G29 and everything looks like a Gen 3, except for the guide rod.  The slide is not marked Gen4,  but the guide rod has the hole in it and it has two springs and according to this VID http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=GIwHkBvzJZg  1:00 mark, the guide rod is a gen4.

Double-nested springs are common in gen3 subcomapct and compact models, like the g29, g30, g26, etc.. glock started implementing double-nested springs in the gen4 full size models like the g17 gen4, g21 gen4, etc... Don't be alarmed everything is normal.

The video is wrong - or I should say it's misleading...... With certain models what he says is correct but not for all. I have a Gen 3 G27 and Gen 3 G30 that both have the hole in the end of the guide rod. I'm no expert, but I'd assume all models with the dual spring setup probably have the hole, whether Gen 3 or Gen 4.

In other words - you have a normal Gen 3.

Edit: the guy above beat me to it......
