I saw a used Gen2 Glock 21 the other day for 399.00 at a local store. I was wondering if it was worth that and what do yall think of gen2 Glock 21's?

I am interested in this as well, so consider this an OST.

ETA:

If it were me and I could chisel a bit on the price (assuming only 1 mag), I would pick it up.

Wouldn't be worth "it" to me, whatever "it" is.  My first Glock was a 2nd gen G21, which I later blew up.  Glock replaced it with a Gen 3.  I prefer the finger grooves and rail.  IN this market, if you're happy with your $400 purchase, then what difference does it make what any of us think?

I prefer SF's and Gen 4's because the G21 is a honkin big gun.  If you don't have one, pick it up if you have the $$$.  You won't lose $$$ if you want to sell / trade it later on.

It's a good gun.  Can't kill it and very accurate for a mass production hi cap.

GET IT!!! RIGHT F'IN NOW!!!!!

I have an old 2nd Gen G21 that I bought new back in 1993. I carried it from then up till this past June at my PD job. When it went into semi-retirement, it had over 45,000 rds through it. No malfs, no problems except some of my reloads that I didn't size properly. It even ran like a raped ape with the bottom half of the extractor shipped off, courtesy of an asshole firearms instructor who decided to simulate a FTFire by dropping an empty into the chamber and dropping the slide, and who threatened to fire me when I strongly objected to this. In fact, I didn't even notice the chipped extractor till I got home and cleaned it. While I never actively abused it, it wasn't a safe queen, either. Almost 20 years of getting rained on, sweated on, condensation from getting into warm cruisers from sub-freezing temps, you name it, it's taken it and it always came back for more. As you can tell, I LOVE 2nd Gen Glocks and Glock 21s in particular and would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone.

Yep, G21 Gen2 is a great weapon. Have had one since the early 90's and put many thousands of factory and handloads through it. Have done nothing but replace the recoil spring. Was my nightstand gun for many years until just recently when I replaced it with a G21SF because I wanted the rail to mount a light on.
