I have a Gen 3 G19 and a Gen 2 G19. What's my next Glock and why?
Keep the following in mind: The G19 conceals well for me. I only have handguns in 9mm right now |

Try a 26....takes all your G19 mags...smaller package for summer I thought about a 26 for a while. I've only ever shot one once about 4 or 5 years ago. The G19 conceals really well for me in my normal summer clothing; I don't normally go out in public in shorts and t-shirts. The mag interchangeability is nice, but if I'm going to carry something more compact with 10 rounds I might try a G30 first. |

The 30 is not really any smaller than a G19 if you look at them side by side. The thicker slide makes it harder to conceal for me, too. That's why I sold my 29. The 26 is a good idea. I'd also recommend looking at a 34 - it's hands-down my favorite Glock to shoot. |

G30 has been my main carry for a decade..I shoot better with it than my G19 |

Seem like they're either a smoking hot deal and last for minutes or priced way too high by fishermen and the price never drops. A 34 or 35 definitely isn't out of the question. Wish they made a long slide .45... |

in your case I would for sure get a 26gen4 or a gen4 17. I think if I go 17 I might as well go for a 34 instead. Really anything is still in the running, but a 26 or 34 is at the top of the list for Glocks in 9mm (I'm not even tied to 9mm, I'm up for anything). Why a Gen 4 may I ask? |
| Get something in .40. .40 cal glock mags seem much easier to get, .40 cal ammo is easier to get. You can also put a Glock factory .357 sig barrel in it, and use the .40 mags. Makes things a lot more versatile. I am a big believer in gun caliber consolidation, but having at least a couple different pistol calibers is a good thing. |

Bought a Gen4 G26 and it is a great gun, no problem with erratic ejection or other malfunctions, even with cheap Russian ammo.
I wasn't able to fit it into ankle carry, way too big IMO. But it will fit into cargo shorts pockets or with a shoulder rig like the Galco Classic Lite. Gives me a few more options for concealed carry and I shoot it just as well as the G19 I have. The biggest disadvantage is the much smaller mag capacity. |

I only have handguns in 9mm right now So does that mean you want to stick with 9mm or want something other then 9mm? If you want to stick with 9mm then a G17 or G34 is no brainer. Which one is up to you? I've had both and like both and feel they are similar enough that there is no wrong choice. They were so similar I decided I couldn't justify having both and when push came to shove, I sold the 34 but i have to admit I miss it and will probably buy another one some day. If you want something other then 9mm? My #1 suggestion would be a G21SF - awesome gun IMO. A G20SF would be cool too if you prefer 10mm over 45ACP. My 3rd choice would be for a G22. There are a lot of used G22 police trade ins floating around so you should be able to get a pretty good deal on one. The other nice thing (at least in this area) is when I go to the ammo counter, the only ammo I see on the shelves is .40S&W. Between the low cost of the G22 trades in and ammo availability I have to admit I've been tempted myself and I'm not even a fan of the .40S&W |

I actually ended up with the best of both worlds. I bought a G35 with a 9mm conversion barrel so I'll get the option of a common caliber with my other guns, but with the option of shooting .40 if 9mm gets hard to find. I'll post pics when it gets here. |

Cool - I've been considering the same move. Just an FYI from what I've read, the 9mm barrel alone may not be 100% reliable, you may need to swap in a 9mm ejector and\or extractor? Also be aware if you compete, the 35 with a 9mm barrel is not legal in some divisions for some reason? In my case while it seems like a cool combo, I don't know that I want to deal with feeding another caliber. I'd probably just leave the 9mm barrel in it 99% of the time. That being the case, why not just get a 34 if anything? |
